Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, over 5 million people have fled the country, marking the largest civilian exodus since World War II. The UNHCR and IOM report that 4.8 million Ukrainians and 215,000 non-Ukrainians have left, with 2.7 million seeking refuge in Poland and 725,000 in Romania. The majority of refugees are women and children, as men aged 18-60 are required to stay and potentially fight. Additionally, the conflict has caused over 7 million internal displacements within Ukraine.
