A massive fire broke out in Laguna Verde, Chile, spreading to Valparaíso. It injured 19 people, mostly with respiratory issues, and forced the evacuation of 200 residents. Around 100 out of 500 homes were affected. Chilean President Michelle Bachelet expressed solidarity via Twitter. Firefighting efforts included 49 fire units, five National Forestry Corporation teams, and 10 aircraft, achieving partial control by nightfall.
