The park covers 46,000 hectares and hosts the most impressive relief in the Rodnei Mountains, with numerous peaks exceeding 2,000 meters.
Moldovan Codrii is the oldest park in the country. It is located about 50 km from capital of Chişinău in the ”triangle ”formed by three villages Hăîncu, Căpriana and Lozov. It occupies 5200 hectares of land, which is covered by the forest. The territory of the forest Reserve Codri is generally hilly forests with a maximum height of 380m.

Bijele and Samarske rocks are a strict reserve and are located in the central part of Velika Kapela in Primorje-Gorski Kotar and Karlovac counties. The reserve was declared on January 24, 1985 on an area of 1175 ha.
