Have your account on public

Never share any personal information such as where you live, what school you go to or where you work

Share your address online so your friends can come over and hang out anytime!

Have a different password for everything

Have the same password for EVERYTHING because it’s easier to remember

Make sure your password had a capital letter, a symbol AND a number

Only ever put a capital letter at the start of your password and the numbers at the end so you don’t forget

If you are posting pictures on social media, don’t put the location and time as it allows people to know where you are

Share your passwords with your friends so they can log in to your accounts

Keep old and unused social media accounts in case you feel like using them again in the future

Delete old and unused social media accounts to reduce the chances of someone pretending to be you

Only accept friend requests from people you know

Add as many people as possible on social media so you look super popular

Google your own name every so often to see what other people can see when they search you up (and adjust privacy settings accordingly)

Turn off Bluetooth when not in use as they can be a way for people to exploit your device

Have a strong password on your homes Wi-Fi so strangers can’t use it

Post anything you want on social media because you can always delete it later

Delete emails and text messages from people you don’t know and DO NOT click any links attached

Do not click on any links if you do not trust the source they came from

Use spam filtering software on your email address to help reduce spam emails

Report any issues to an adult so they can help you solve any online issues
