Standard form of quadratic equations:

• Any equation of the form p(x)= 0, p(x) is a polynomial of degree 2, is a quadratic equation.

• In descending order of their degrees we get ax² +bx +c = 0 where 'a' is not equal to (zero) '0'.

• Therefore, ax² + bx + c = 0 is the standard form of quadratic equation.
