The French & British Establish Land Claims

The French looking to expand south and strengthen their trading relationships with the natives build Fort Duquesne on outskirts of the Ohio River Valley, the British responded with Fort Necessity.

After the War

The colonists were excited to move west into the new territory gained. Unforutantely this created issues with the Natives that still lived there.


Parliament eventually passed the PROCLAMATION OF 1763 which banned movement west of the Appalachian Mountains. This was the first attempt of the British trying to control the colonists in 100 years.
