Fuel and Energy
A fuel is any material that can be made to react with other substances so that it releases chemical or nuclear energy as heat or to be used for work. The concept was originally applied solely to those materials capable of releasing chemical energy but has since also been applied to other sources of heat energy such as nuclear energy.

What are the earth's mineral resources?
Mineral resources can be divided into two major categories
Metallic resources are things like Gold, Silver, Tin, Copper, Lead, Zinc, Iron, Nickel, Chromium, and Aluminum
Nonmetallic resources are things like sand, gravel, gypsum, halite, Uranium, dimension stone etc.

Which countries provide the most/least?
Natural resources, or commodities, are the raw inputs that are used to manufacture and produce all of the products in the world
those extracted from the earth and those that have yet to be extracted, are worth trillions of dollars.

The top 05 countries with the most natural resources:
1: RussiaRussia is number one on the list by far. Its total estimated natural resources are worth $75 trillion.
2: The United States of AmericaWith about $45 trillion in natural resources, the U.S. is number two on the list. The U.S. has over 31% of the world's coal, but also has large amounts of timber.
3: Saudi ArabiaSaudi Arabia has 20% of the world's oil reserves, the fifth-largest natural gas reserves and large amounts of timber. Overall, the country has about $34.4 trillion worth of natural resources.
4: CanadaFourth on the list of countries with the most natural resources is Canada. Overall, the country has an estimated $33.2 trillion worth of commodities. Canada has 17.8% of the world's oil supply, which is the highest after Saudi Arabia.
5: IranWith $27.3 trillion in natural resources, Iran is the fifth country on the list. The country's main natural resources are oil and natural gas. Iran has about 10% of the world's oil supply and 16% of the world's natural gas supply
