If you do it to the top, do it to the bottom

  • Say you have 20/10, and the question says reduce the fraction. Would 2 go into 20? Yes, it does. Just remember whatever you do to the top you do to the bottom. So it would be 10 for the top then you would do it to the bottom, and that would be 5 10/5 or 10 over 5 would be in word form.
