How to determine what EVIDENCE to use in our essay?
You have read two articles and watched one video about physical and chemical changes in matter. You read the article “Ever Wondered Why Ice Cream Melts” that gave reasons for why ice cream melts. In “What a State I’m In,” the author addressed changes in states of matter, and in “Physical versus Chemical Change in Matter” the filmmakers differentiate between chemical and physical changes in matter.

You will use this information to respond to the following prompt.
You may have noticed that while eating ice cream on a hot day, some of the ice cream begins to melt. Is this an example of a physical or chemical change? Write an essay that provides a scientific explanation for this phenomenon. Use evidence from all of the sources listed above.
