Balancing Equations and Predicting Products Guided Practice
We're going to work through some practice problems together before you try some on your own!

2
Get ready!
You'll need...
1. Your notebook.
2. A periodic table.
3. Your brain to stay engaged for the review! (If you stick with this and participate, you won't have anything to submit today!)
3
Remember that we're only focused on predicting products for single replacement reactions and....
4
...and double replacement chemical reactions.
5
General Steps for Predicting Products Problems
1. Identify the charges for the ions in the reactants.
2. Swap alike! (i.e. switch cations with each other and switch anions with each other)
3. Correct/check the new chemical compounds created by the swap using their charges.
4. Balance the chemical equations.
