Argument Writing (Hook, Description of Issue, Claim)
A Quick(?) Review
2
So far, we have covered the following:
Hook
Description of Issue
Claim
3
Here is my example using those 3 pieces
Did you know that school lunches in Japan, called kyuushoku, are often prepared freshly by hand each and every day? Recently, there have been a lot of articles and news reports claiming that kyuushoku is better than school lunches in the United States and the evidence proves that this claim is 100% accurate.

And here is a student sample:
Did you know that 3.96 billion people use social media today, accounting for roughly 51% of the global population? That is a very large number of people and over half the world’s population. Just imagine how the 51% of those people would feel without social media being available? Social media is not something to be messed with and it should stay this way.

I agree, I believe that social media is ruining peoples lives daily. And the reason behind me saying this would be people committing sucide everyday because people on the internet. I believe that sucide and sucide attempts would decrease if there wasn’t any social media. And it’s not the only reason why i say that about social media. Social media is just toxic, people are just bullies. They are insecure about themselves so they come on the internet and make peoples lives worse. The people on the internet don’t care what they say to you, you could be going through something and the people would come and hurt you. I also say the people on the internet are selfish. And your probably wondering why am i calling the people on the internet selfish. Its like people only want the way they want it, they never want to listen to what others have to say because in their mind they think it doesn’t matter.
