Basic Dance Etiquette
Anyone can lead, Anyone can follow.
Maintain posture/form.
Maintain connection and frame.
The only obvious dance mistake is stopping on the dance floor.
Follows always start with the right foot, leads start with their left foot.

Dancing happens all over! Social dance, School dances, weddings, parties, and for exercise.

Ballroom Frame
Leader will have left hand palm in palm with partner, follow will have right hand palm in palm (you will have a visual in the video).
In social dance always start with at least 3" between you and your partner's waist.

The first waltzes were danced in the location of today's Germany and Austria, back in 13th century

Waltz Basics
The waltz can be done with either a 'box basic step' or in a walking/progressive basic step. We will be focusing on the box basic step. Left foot forward step to the side close, right foot back, side close.

Salsa
Salsa originated in the 1900s in Cuba, where rhythms from the two main existing styles of music in the region (Cuban Son and Afro-Cuban rumba) were combined to create a new dance.

Salsa Basic
Salsa is a basic dance that can be simple or have a lot of energy and attitude. The basic step is left foot forward, step together, right foot back, step together.
