TAG QUESTIONS (UGYE KÉRDÉS)

Ugye kérdések

A TAG QUESTIONS vagy QUESTION TAGS elnevezésű nyelvtani jelenég nem más, mint egy olyan rövid kérdés, amelyet egy kijelentő mondat (állítás vagy tagadás) végére teszünk, és ezzel visszakérdezünk a mondat tartalmára, ezzel megerősítést várva. Ez magyarul az UGYE kérdésnek felel meg.

Például:He can drive, can’t he?– Tud vezetni, ugye?

You live here, don’t you? – Itt laksz, ugye?

She doesn’t like fish, does she? – Nem szereti a halat, ugye?

A példákból láthatod, hogy a szerkezet nagyon egyszerű:

A TAG QUESTION kizárólag kijelentéshez (állításhoz vagy tagadáshoz) járulhat, és minden esetben a mondat végére kerül, a mondattól vesszővel elválasztva.

Képzése:

mondathoz igazított segédige állító vagy tagadó formában + a mondat alanyát helyettesítő névmás az állító mondatra mindig tagadva kérdezünk vissza, és vica versa: a tagadóra pedig állítva

 

You like me, don’t you?– Kedvelsz engem, ugye?

You don’t like me, do you? – Nem kedvelsz engem, ugye?

És egy pár rendhagyó eset.....

Figyelj, mert a következő esetek rendhagyóak (és tesztekben természetesen előszeretettel elő is fordulnak):

1)     I am – aren’t I

I am late, aren’t I? – Elkéstem, ugye?

2)     used to – didn’t …?

He used to be a musician, didn’t he? – Valaha zenész volt, nem?

3)     felszólító mód – will/won’t you?

Don’t do this, will you? – Ne csináld ezt, jó?

Stop complaining, won’t you? – Fejezd be a siránkozást, oké?

És még valami...

TAG QUESTION esetén, ha a mondatban:

SOMETHING/NOTHING/EVERYTHING/ANYTHING van, akkor a visszakérdezésben IT-et kell használni. Személyek esetén, tehát amikor SOMEBODY/NOBODY/EVERYBODY/ANYBODY van a főmondatban, akkor a visszakérdezésben a THEY személyes névmást kell használni. Például:

Something happened to Mary, didn’t it? – Valami történt Mary-vel, ugye?

Somebody stole your wallet, didn’t they? – Valaki ellopta a tárcádat, ugye?
