When using body parts and clothing words

  • If a sentence with a reflexive verb also includes a body part or piece of clothing, there is no need to use possessive adjectives (the words for my, our, etc.) in front of item. Just write “the.”

  • These sentences already have a lot of words that indicate what the subject is.

  • In “Yo me cepillo los dientes,” the first three words indicate you are talking about yourself. There’s no need to add “mis dientes” instead of “los dientes.”
