Sam woke up in the middle of the
night. She'd had a bad nightmare.
She was so afraid that she could not
fall back asleep. Sam got out of bed and made
her way through the dark hall to her big
sister's bedroom. Her sister sighed sleepily
when Sam crawled in beside her. Sam was
asleep in just a few minutes.

Tim and his mom are making cookies. They follow the steps on the recipe very careful. "Oh, no!" bellowed Mom. "We are out of sugar!" Tim suggested they drive to the store to buy some more, but the store was closing soon, and they wouldn't get there in time. "I know. I will ask our neighbor if we can borrow some," suggested Mom. They knocked on the door and were able to borrow the sugar they needed. The cookies were delicious!
