Proper Breathing and Richer Tone

  • Actors and singers know that to have the necessary air control for a performance they must use their diaphragm.

  • Once you have mastered diaphragmatic breathing you will learn it requires less work than chest breathing.

  • Tone depends on many factors, including the shape and size of your vocal mechanism.

  • If your voice sounds breathy you are probably using too much breathe.

  • If your voice sounds harsh and raspy its probably because of a closed throat.
