Objectives: generate equivalent numerical expressions using exponents.

Vocabulary

• Factor: a number multiplied by another number to get a product

• repeated multiplication: multiplying the same factor over and over

• base: a number that is multiplied

• exponent: tells how many times our base is multiplied/ used as a factor

• power: a number that is formed by repeated multiplication of the same factor
