Equivalent Fractions are fractions that have the same value...but are cut into different sized pieces.

​To find an equivalent fraction, you must multiply or divide by a form of "1". (2/2 = 1, 3/3 = 1...etc.) This means that if you multiply or divide the top and the bottom by the same number, you will make a fraction equal to the first.

*Multiply or divide by a form of 1.
