Which do I use?

• For = because (used in more formal writing)

• And shows addition or quantity

• Nor shows subtraction or exception

• But = except, unless, if not, on the contrary

• Or connects a list of alternatives.

• Yet = though, still, nevertheless (stronger than but)

• So = therefore
