What is tissue ?

• Tissue is the grouping of cells that form organs in all living things.

Epithelial Tissue or Skin Tissue

• All skin epithelial tissue

• The skins main job is to protect ?

• It protects us from dirt, dust, and germs.

Connective Tissue

• Prevents the body from falling apart

• Connective tissue is found in almost every organ

• Connective tissues form tendons, ligaments and blood vessels

Muscle Tissue

• Muscle tissue is the tissue that allows for movement.

• There are three types of muscle tissue

• Skeletal muscle – the tissue that is attached to bones and allows movement

• The smooth muscle tissue- which is found in our organs

• Cardiac muscle – the muscle specific to the heart

Nerve Tissues

• Nerve tissue allows for your body receive stimuli and conduct impulse

• Stimuli are things that can cause a reaction

• Impulse is a strong desire to do something
