Why did you choose the answer you chose?

4

So... what does this have to do with volume?

Well...

5

We need to learn the difference between volume and surface area.

6

Volume is:

THE AMOUNT OF SPACE INSIDE OF AN OBJECT.

NOW... LET'S GET BACK TO THE PANTS.

Soo.. How do you calculate volume?

  • Volume of a prism = Area of the base (B) x height of the prism (h)

  • For a rectangular prism, that means Volume = l x w x h

  • Let's see an example:

9

Example: Find the Volume of the Prism

  • Volume = Bh

  • Volume = l x w x h

  • Volume = 3 x 2 x 3

  • Volume = 18 units3
