Sometimes, brackets are used to include extra information in a piece of text. It's important to nail how to use brackets, and how to say the content within brackets.

What are these types of brackets used for?

Brackets are punctuation marks that are used within a sentence to include extra information. If the extra information within the brackets was removed, the meaning of the sentence should remain unchanged.

How do you say the information within brackets?

When reading out a sentence that uses brackets, make sure to pause before saying what's in the brackets, to signify that what you're saying is in brackets. As well as this, you can also use a lower voice to signify that what you're saying is in brackets.
