Present simple : form
positive statements:
I/you/we/they live in London.
He/she/it lives in London.
negative statements:
I/you/we/they don´t live in London.
He/she/it doesn´t live in London.
interrogative statements:
Do I/you/we/they live in London?
Does he/she/it live in London?

Uses of the Present Simple
we use present simple with habits, routines or regular repeated actions (with adverbs of frequency).
e.g: I surf on the internet every day
We use present simple when we are talking about permanent situations.
e.g: I work on social media
We use present simple with state verbs which are not usually used in continuous forms: be, belong, have, depend, know, own, think, understand, want, hear, love, see smell, taste.
e.g: I love using Instragram

Present Continuous: form
The present form of be + the -ing form of the verb (present participle)
Positive statements:
I am studying English.
you are studying English.
she is studying English.
Negative Statements:
I´m not studying English.
You aren´t studying English.
She isn´t studying English.
Interrogative Statements:
Am I studying English?
Are you studying English?
Is she studying English?

Uses of the Present Continuous
We use present continuous to talk about actions happening right now at the moment of speaking.
e.g: I am checking my instagram account out.
We use present continuous to talk about temporary situations that are happening around now
e.g: I am working at home because of the pandemic.
We use present continuous to talk about changing situations.
some people are using social media for investment.
We use present continuous to talk about personal plans and arrangements in the future
Mary and I are having a virtual meeting tonight.
