In Spanish, we use "más...que" to say that something is "more...than".

I am taller than my sister.

Yo soy más alto que mi hermana.

Your house is bigger than my house.

Tu casa es más grande que mi casa.

DON'T FORGET TO MATCH IN NUMBER AND GENDER!

The beds are red. = Las camas son rojas.

The closets are blue. = Los armarios son azules.

In Spanish, we use "menos...que" to say that something is "less...than".

The adjectives bueno(a), malo(a), viejo(a) and joven and the adverbs bien and mal have their own comparative forms in Spanish. 

Más and menos are not used with these comparative adjectives and adverbs.

REMEMBER: ALL OF THESE CAN BECOME PLURAL.

SUPERLATIVES

Give an example of a superlative in English.

To make a superlative in Spanish, use:

definite article (el, la, los, las) + noun + más/menos + adjective

Use this for when you say something is the smartest, friendliest, most fun, most exciting, least helpful, least difficult.

To say that someone or something is the “best” or “worst”, use:

definite article (el, la, los, las) + mejor(es) / peor(es) + noun

Use this for when you say: the best book, the worst driver, the best hair, the worst movie
