¿Qué significa el verbo «to be»?

Es uno de los principales verbos en inglés. El significado en español del verbo to be es «ser» o «estar» en la mayoría de los casos, y el uso de uno u otro en este idioma dependerá de lo que se quiera comunicar.

El pasado progresivo (the past continuouso the past progressive) se usa para hablar de una acción que estaba ocurriendo en algún momento en el pasado.
