PRACTICAL SESSIONS

Ask your teacher which day/ time you have your prac and where you are to meet.

STADIUM - Please meet at the door closest to the change-rooms. Western side - near the driveway.​

Sport and Recreation Class Expectations:

  • Attend ALL classes - 2 x theory and 1 x practical & arrive on time.

  • Show respect to your teacher/ class members & equipment/ facilities.

  • Wear PE/ Sport uniform for ALL practical classes (hat/ sunglasses can be worn in practical sessions)

  • Ensure Phones/ Ear Plugs and Bags are in lockers

  • Bring a water bottle for practical sessions

  • Bring equipment to theory class (laptop, workbook, pens and a positive attitude)

  • Communicate with your teacher about absences, illnesses and injuries.

  • Please NO chewing gum in class or the stadium.

ASSESSMENTS

  • Many UoC's allow students to demonstrate competency by assisting and helping with school/interschool and community events:

  • Carnivals - Swimming, Athletics, Cross-Country

  • Officiating or umpiring at interschool soccer

  • Coaching a school team

  • Collating sport results for organizers

  • CIP - Community Impact Project that demonstrates the key skills of Sport and Recreation

  • Do I get a hard copy workbook in Sport & Recreation? No

  • Can I access an electronic copy of each UoC? Yes (You can print it)

  • Do we still have a practical session if my teacher is away? Yes - but only if the teacher covering the class has the qualifications in PE.

  • What do I do if I forget my username and password for IVET? Ask your teacher or reset password. Username will always be your full name in lower case with no space. eg. johnsmith Some of you may have a #1 after your username.

  • Can I buy a personalised S&R shirt? Yes.
