Adjective Order
“Every Sunday, my grandma makes an Italian big meal,” said no one ever.
Why?
2
Why?
It’s technically correct—it’s a big meal, it’s Italian food, and your grandma makes it.
But it doesn’t sound quite right, and that’s because the adjective order in that sentence isn’t correct.
In English, the rules regarding adjective order are more specific than they are in other languages; that is why saying adjectives in a specific order sounds “right,” and deviating from that order makes a statement sound “wrong,” even if it’s otherwise grammatically perfect.
