​Unit Price

  • Rates are special ratios where the two things being compared have different units. For example, we could compare the price of purchasing things to the number of things bought. An example of a rate would be $16 for 8 red peppers. This rate can be used to find the unit price. 

    $16 for 8 peppers = 16÷8 = $2 per pepper
