Mixed Conditionals คืออะไร

คือการวางรูปแบบผสมผสานของ Clauses ต่างๆ ที่มีการผสมประโยคโดยใช้เรื่องของเวลามาพูดและสร้างให้เกิดความสัมพันธ์ โดยที่เวลาใน If clause นั้นต้องไม่ใช่เวลาเดียวกับที่อยู่ใน Main clause และที่สำคัญผลของปัจจุบันนั้นเป็นสิ่งที่มาจากการกระทำในอดีต

ข้อสังเกตุ โดยมากใช้เวลาพูดถึงสิ่งที่ไม่เป็นความจริงในอดีตที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับ ปัจจุบัน เช่น

• ​ She would be a rich widow now if she’d married him. เธอคงจะได้เป็นแม่หม้ายเศรษฐีไปแล้วถ้าเธอแต่งงานกับเขา (ตอนนั้นไม่แต่งกับเขา ตอนนี้เลยไม่ได้เป็นแม่หม้ายเศรษฐี)

• If I’d studied law, I’d be an attorney now. ถ้าตอนนั้นเรียนนิติตอนนี้ฉันก็คงจะเป็นทนายความแล้ว
