We will learn about horse's hoof parts

Hooves perform many functions, including supporting the weight of the horse, It lessen the energy impact as the hooves strike the ground or surface, protecting the tissues and bone within the hoof capsule, and providing traction for the horse.

3

We will learn about some of Hoof parts,

Horse's hooves is split into parts, those parts has names. Please take your time to look and study those photos.

You see there is 10 parts in a hoof.

When you pick up the horse's hoof, the frog is immediately obvious – it's the tough, thick, V-shaped structure pointing down from the heels. It protects the digital cushion beneath it, also aids in traction and circulation in the hoof, and partly acts as a shock absorber when the horse moves. Considering horses can weigh over one thousand pounds, the frog is an important part of every horse's anatomy. It helps them travel long distances without too much sore and tear on their bones and joints. It is importian for you to regularly perform hoof care. Cleaning out all the grooves of the frog and using ointments and oils suited to the climate conditions and the condition of the hoof also help keep frogs healthy. Regular trimming by a farrier also helps ensure hoof condition, also you need to regularly montiors horse's hoofs

5

Did you know that?

Did you know that horses " has five hearts" because, the frog in each hoof acts like a pump to push blood back up the leg with each step.. Hence, each hoof is a "heart" giving a horse five hearts" Also there is no muscles in horse's foot!

6

We will learn about white line

The white line of the foot can be seen by looking at the sole of your horse's hoof. The area (that looks whitish) between the outside hoof wall and where it meets the sole is the white line. When this becomes damaged, it will cause fungus and/or bacteria to invade and separate the layers of the hoof wall. Also White line is most importain part in hoof's sole.

7

We will learn about diffrent type of Wall.

The main function of the hoof wall is to bear weight. It must be trimmed at regular intervals to keep it properly shaped and level.

The bars of wall are extensions of the hoof wall that turn-in at the heel and run partway along the frog. The bars strengthen the heel area and control over expansion of the heels. This area also contributes to building the sole of the hoof and helps support the horse's weight.

Without a healthy hoof, your horse's overall health will be compromised. ... The angle of wall should match the angle of the dorsal surface of the pastern. If this angle, or line, is broken, it indicates a poor trim due to either too much toe, or other reasons.

We will focus on Horse's Teeth age

As the horse gets older, the surface of the incisors changes, first to a triangular shape and finally a rectangular shape. ... Wear of the occlusal surface causes the cup to get smaller and eventually disappear from all lower incisors at about 8 years old, leaving the enamel spot in its place.

We will focus on Horse's Teeth age

In a 1-year-old horse, all the temporary teeth have erupted. By 3 years old, most horses will have permanent center teeth, both upper and lower. Permanent teeth are larger and slightly darker than baby teeth. By about five year old, all the baby teeth will be replaced by permanent teeth.
