​Tissue is a group of cells that have similar structure and that function together as a unit.

There are 4 basic types of tissue: connective tissue, epithelial tissue, muscle tissue, and nervous tissue.​

​A stratified epithelium is a type of epithelial tissue that is composed of more than one layer of epithelial cells.

• ​Cartilage is a flexible connective tissue that differs from bone

• ​it doesn't have blood vessels or nerves

• ​Cartilage gives shape, support, and structure to other body tissues

• ​Cartilage also smoothens the bone surfaces at the joints

• ​covers the tips of your bones

​Bone tissue

• ​Tissue that gives strength and structure to bones

• ​protect organs, enable movement and provide attachment for muscles and tendons
