​Comparative Adjectives:

​There are used to compare differences between the two objects they modified.

​Pattern: Noun (subject) +verb+comparative adjective+ than + noun .

​Example: My cat is smaller than your cat.

​Remember: Short adjectives add "er" and long adjectives add "more"

Comparative adjectives can also be modified by:

  • ​(so) much to show intensity

  • Example: Your car is so much bigger than mine.

  • ​a (little) bit to show a slight difference

  • ​Example: My sister is a little bit taller than me.

  • ​To repeat a comparative to change change over time.

  • ​Example: Things are getting more and more expensive than before.
