​Tradition is a part of culture that is passed from person to person or generation to generation, possibly differing in detail from family to family.

Culture

​Culture is the customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group.

Identity

Identity is the qualities, beliefs, personality, looks and or expressions that make a person or group.

​Project

1. Students will work in groups of 3 students.

2. Each group should choose one of the local traditions in Indonesia. 

3. Each group will discuss the answers of the questions below.

a. How do you define tradition, culture and identity?

b. Why do people value tradition? 

c. Investigating a particular tradition in Indonesia.  

* Including photographs of tradition and cultural mores (e.g. special meals, types of dress etc.).

* Using Google Earth is highly recommended.      ​

c. What traditions do your families have and where do they come from?

d. How do your families feel and value their traditions?

3. Each group should make a report consisting of the answers of the questions above.​
