​•Offspring – differ in timing and number of children

•Household Chores – how responsibilities should be shared.

•Finance – who is in charge especially if wife earns more.

•In-laws – interference; both must chose between spouse and family especially regarding finances and socialization.

•Nagging – continuous demands on each other to submit to the others wishes.

•Cooking – one may prefer house cooked meals another may want to purchase meals

​

•Leisure Time – some complaint of excess time spent with friends at the expence of quality time with family members

CONFLICT AMOUNG SIBLINGS

• Household Duties not equally shared

• Brighter children given more privileges than lower performing children

•Some children get more expensive clothes

•Parents shower praise on some and criticize others – latter see themselves as “black sheep” of family

•Some children possess more attractive qualities  than others – case of the “ugly duckling” vs the “graceful swan”
