​USAGE

​We use REPORTED SPEECH to communicate with our own words what other person said.

​Reported Speech

​HE SAID, "I DRIVE EVERY DAY"

​HE SAID THAT HE DROVE EVERY DAY

​REPORTED SPEECH

• ​We use reported verbs: "He said" "She told me" "He explained"​

• ​We use "that"

• ​The verb tense changes.

• ​The subject changes.

• ​The possessive adjectives/pronouns also change when needed.

​Jade: I am so happy for you! That's very good news
