​Jacob had 12 sons. He had a favorite son named Joseph, the 11th son. He gave Joseph a beautiful coat, and Joseph's brothers hated him. They knew their father loved Joseph more than them. So they captured him and threw him in a well. When some slave traders came along, they sold Joseph to them! After a lot of trials, Joseph became second in command to Pharaoh, king of Egypt. When his brothers came to ask for food from him (there was a famine, but Joseph had wisely saved some food), he could have just thrown them in prison or have them executed as revenge for what they did to him, but he chose to forgive. He gave them sacks of grain and even returned the money they gave to pay for it! Let's be like Joseph and forgive.
