The most livable cities ​are those that make its' residents feel safe from crime.

Most cities will study the crime in their cities to determine where they need to deploy their police and security.

100s of millions of people around the world choose to live in areas that are prone to Natural Hazards.

For example. Areas with volcanoes are hazardous, but many civilisations have been built near them do to the rich soil for farming that they produce. ​

When a city or area is densely populated, this is when natural hazards become Natural Disasters.

Some cities have developed over thousands of years, and have found many different ways to adapt and try and overcome these disasters.

Sometimes though relocation and abandonment of cities can occur.
