• Be sure to stay "Low tech" when planning out your story - use pen and pencil or a form to develop your story.

• Jump right into making your presentation and avoid wasting time planning things out.

• Be sure to consider the context of the time period you are studying and make that very clear to your audience.

• Make sure your research question is asking a historical question.

• Always think about what has changed because of your topic or what has not changed. Consider impact and Historical significance always.
