The Imperative verb form is used to give orders, instructions, make requests and even advise someone.
Go away! – Vá embora!
Do it now! – Faça isso agora!
Eat the salad. – Coma a salada.
Run faster! – Corra mais rápido!
Sit down! – Sente-se
Help me! – Me ajude!
Look over there! – Olhe pra lá!
Tell me what you want. – Me diga o que você quer.
Find the keys, now! – Ache as chaves, agora!
Be careful! – Tome cuidado!
Use the base form of the verb in affirmative imperatives:
Go home and rest.
Use don't + base form of the verb in negative imperatives:
Don't be late!

IMPERATIVE AFFIRMATIVE
Esta é a forma mais comum e direta do imperativo. Existe apenas a segunda pessoa do singular e do plural. É formado usando o infinitivo do verbo sem o "to".
Hurry up or you will miss the show!
(Apresse-se ou você vai perder o show!)

IMPERATIVE NEGATIVE
A forma negativa do imperativo afirmativo requer a adição do auxiliar do + not (don’t em sua forma contraída) para ser adicionada à versão infinitiva do verbo sem o "to".
Don’t work too much.
(Não trabalhe tanto.)
