In the language and social science courses, everyday words are used; however, in the natural sciences and technical fields, a language specific to a certain discipline is used.
Such language is called jargon.

Jargon refers to the language of a certain profession or occupation.
There are many types of jargon. The following list is not a complete one, though—there may be more out there.
