PLURAL NOUNS

1. To form a noun into plural , We usually add "s"

to the noun:

orange -oranges

pen - pens.

2. For nouns that ends in " ch, sh, s, x, or z we add

"es"

​

a) box, boxes;

​

b) bus, buses;

​

c) prize, prizes

​

3) nouns that end in a "consonant" and "y" ,

"y " becomes ies

​

* baby, babies;

* country, countries;

* spy, spies

​

But for nouns that end in a vowel and "y" (ay,ey,oy)

add ONLY "s"

Most nouns that end in " f " or "fe " ; f or fe becomes ves:
