The pH scale measures how acidic or basic a substance is

We use the numbers 0-14 to indicate if it is an acid or base and how strong the substance is.

Acids: 0-6.

The lower the number the stronger the acid.

Bases: 8-14.

The higher the number, the stronger the base.

A pH of 7 means it is neutral.
