It can be useful to begin a Part 1 answer with an opening phrase, or
'opener'. Listen to two people talking about the same topic and answer these questions.

Examiner: Do you find it easy to make new friends?
Speaker 1: Umm, 'make new friends', um, maybe new friends I think so, but it isn't easy. I think other people have to decide that!
Speaker 2: Mmm, I'm not sure, I've never thought about that, but I, er, think I probably do. I've met plenty of new people in Paris and I'm quite good friends w1th some of them.
