F. Scott Fitzgerald
Born September 24, 1896. Died December 21, 1940.
F. Scott Fitzgerald is named after his famous historical relative, Francis Scott Key, who wrote the Star Spangled Banner.
He flunked out of college and joined the army.
Met Zelda Sayre while stationed in Alabama.

In 1920, he published his first novel, This Side of Paradise.
This led to his rise in fame.
By 1925, he had already published two novels, nineteen short stories, and a play.
In 1925, he published his most well-known novel, The Great Gatsby.
