The Importance of Sleep
Sleep plays a vital role in good health and well-being throughout your life. Getting enough quality sleep at the right times can help protect your mental health, physical health, quality of life, and safety. Why is sleep important?
Sleep helps your brain work properly. While you are sleeping, your brain is preparing for the next day. It’s forming new pathways to help you learn and remember information.
Studies show that a good night’s sleep improves learning. Whether you’re learning math, how to play the piano, how to perfect your golf swing, or how to drive a car, sleep helps enhance your learning and problem-solving skills. Sleep also helps you pay attention, make decisions, and be creative.
Physical Health often relates to quality sleep. It plays an important role in your physical health. For example, sleep is involved in healing and repair of your heart and blood vessels. Ongoing sleep deficiency is linked to an increased risk of heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and stroke.
Besides, sleep also helps maintain a healthy balance of the hormones that make you feel hungry (ghrelin) or full (leptin). When you don’t get enough sleep, your level of ghrelin goes up and your level of leptin goes down. This makes you feel hungrier than when you’re well-rested.
Based on the reason above, it is no wonder that sleep is said to be important in our lives. Getting enough sleep isn't only about total hours of sleep. It's also important to get good-quality sleep on a regular schedule so you feel rested when you wake up.

An analytical exposition text (persuasive text) is a form of essay or argumentative text designed
to persuade the reader/listener that something is the case (good, bad, harmful, beneficial, etc.).
STRUCTURE OF ANALYTICAL EXPOSITION TEXT
It consists of three parts:
• Thesis, which indicates the topic, and ends with reasoning or proof of the statement.
• Argument, which lists reasons, facts, or statistics, or provides examples.
• Reiteration, which restates the thesis statement or draws a conclusion based on the
argument.
Persuasive writing is often used for advertisement, in order to convince customers to buy certain
products. A good piece of persuasive writing should always be supported with facts or data that
support the writer’s point of view.
Analytical exposition may also appear in the form of poems, campaign posters, and
advertisements.

Analytical exposition texts are often written in the simple present tense.
GRAMMAR FOCUS
The texts consists of paragraphs.
A good paragraph consists of:
1. One main idea (often expressed in a topic sentence)
2. Supporting sentences that correspond to the main idea
A good paragraph should be coherent (follow a logical arrangement).
Every idea in the paragraph should be elaborated clearly and supported by proof and
details. The proof and supporting details explain the main idea.
Analytical exposition texts might also use if clause.
