Temperature Scales

media

There are 3 Temperature Scales, Today we will focus on two.

Celsius & Fahrenheit

7

Temperature Scales

media

Celsius

The Celsius is used in most parts of the world (Besides the US).

It is the easiest to work with because of the way it was designed.

0° is the Freezing Point

While 100° is the Boiling Point

Temperature Scales

media

Fahrenheit

The Fahrenheit scale is used mainly just in the US.

Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit came up with it in the 1700's

He choose 0° because it was the temperature on the coldest day of the year

While 100° was supposed to be the temperature of a human body

This means the Freezing Point of Water = 32° F

And the Boiling point of water is 212° F
