Back walkover
🤍
What is a back walkover ? A back walkover
is a type of gymnastics skill, the level a
walkover is on is level two.
🤍
Who created the back walkover and when ?
Ellayna Mackenzie Jones invented the back
walkover in 1934 .
🤍
How do I do That ? First and foremost try
a bridge and hold it for about 30 seconds if
you can. Practice that then try to lift one
leg up and hold it for 30 seconds. Next try
that all together. When you are confident
about that, move on to this next very
important step. Now try to kick over out of
the bridge .(try until you land on your feet)
Now once you got that try to lean back and
go into that bridge and then try all the
steps together. That’s all it is.

Cartwheel
This gymnastics move was made by around 3500 B.C. in Mesopotamia. The cartwheel is a basic
gymnastics skill that will strengthen your upper body and help you work your way up to more
advanced moves. To learn how to cartwheel, you’ll need to find a safe environment in which you
can practice placing your hands and feet in a way that will propel you forward and upside down.
Make sure to stretch before you start practicing to avoid injuries!
Steps To learn how to do a cartwheel:
1. Picture an imaginary line extending straight in front of you.
2. Lunge forward with your lead leg and raise your arms.
3. Lower your arms towards the ground while raising your back leg.
4. Place your hands on the mat as you turn your body sideways.
5. Push off on your front leg, then bring your legs up in a V shape.
6. Lower your lead leg as you lift the first hand you put down off the mat.
7. Bring your other leg down while lifting your other hand off the mat.
8. Land in a lunge facing in the opposite direction.
9. Keep practicing until the movements feel comfortable.

Fun facts about the front walkover ! The front

Handstand
Who created the handstand in the early 1900s, a circus artist called Professor Paulinetti was one of the first ever
people to perform a full handstand act. He was also the first man to perform a one-handed handstand.
This is how you do a handstand with the wall. Start in a push up position; walk your hands toward the wall and your
feet up the wall, then back down. Which is a version of a Select but it is done without the wall.
How to do a handstand without the wall.
Place your feet and hands shoulder-width apart on the floor, keeping your arms straight and knees slightly bent. Lean
forward to shift your weight onto your shoulders and gently kick up your legs into an L position. Slowly raise your legs
until they're straight and then slowly lower them back down.

an artistic gymnastics apparatus.
It is made of a steel frame. This is
made of fiberglass with wood
coating, or less commonly wood.

Beam
In the late 1700s, Friedrich Ludwig Jahn of Germany developed the side bar, the horizontal bar,
the parallel bars, the balance beam, and jumping events.
Skills to do are beam are handsprings, back handsprings, saltos, back saltos, turns, and split
jumps are all gymnastics skills that are common to beam routines.
The level for beam is level 1 to elite (which matters how long you’ve been doing skills on beam).
The balance beam enables kids to be challenged while improving balance and coordination. Kids
improves balance coordination. The balance beam also helps to improve self-confidence,
learning stability and sense of reaction.

Grips and chalk are used to protect you
hands from the bar. We use chalk to make
the bar less rough and activate the wood

bar and protect your hands from getting
splinters from the wood bar.
