Course content
Aim: to prepare our students for starting their professional lives by
simulating all stages of the job application process:
•finding a job advertisement in English
•writing a CV
•become familiar with cover letters and job application
forms
•being interviewed for a job
•following up
• and finally handling job offers and rejection
The course focuses on the skills and knowledge students will need to be
successful in each stage.

analyze typical information found in job advertisements to determine if the position is right for them

produce a personalized CV

demonstrate general knowledge of the type of information requested in job application forms

exhibit general knowledge of the parts of and content found in a cover letter

utilize various interview strategies effectively during a job interview

exhibit general knowledge of the content and style of professional follow-up emails
7.
demonstrate a basic understanding of how to handle job offers and rejection, including accepting,
