Dear Robert,
Sorry, I haven't written to you earlier but we have been swamped. You know, we have been here in Europe for 3 weeks and we have had a great time. The people are very friendly and kind and the weather is good. Even in Britain, it was sunny and warm.
The week before the last, we flew to London from Montreal and we spent four days visiting the city. Have you ever visited London? It's wonderful, there's so much to do and see! Last week, we took the Eurostar to Paris and stayed with my cousin, Angie. We did some sightseeing and we visited the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. I know that you have already visited Paris. We really enjoyed our vacation there. After Paris, we flew to Barcelona where it was very hot. We took a bus to a small town on the coast and found a hotel with a beautiful sea view. I've never experienced such comfort. We relaxed for 2 days on the beach before moving on to Italy. In fact, we've just arrived in Florence and we are having breakfast. We haven't started our tour, yet.
After Florence, we're going to Rome and then Athens. I'll write again in 2 weeks. Give my love to Anne and the children.
