Some information to start
Japan is a country located in East Asia. It's a medium to small-sized island and it's situated in the northwest Pacific Ocean. The population is 125.7 million from 2021. Japan is often called "The land of the rising sun" because from China, it appears that the sun rises from the direction of japan. The Japanese call their land "Nihon" (日本) meaning "Land of the rising sun" or "Source of the sun"

Japan is a country located in East Asia. It has a population of 125.7 million. The capitol of Japan is Tokyo. It is situated in the northwest Pacific Ocean and is bordered on the west by the Sea of Japan. Japan is called the "land of the rising sun" because from China it appears that the sun rises from the direction of Japan. Japanese people call their country "Nihon," and It is loosely translated into English as "land of the rising sun."

さん/-san. polite, but not excessively formal
さま/-sama. polite, formal suffix
くん/-kun. The Japanese honorific -kun is common among friends and younger people
ちゃん/-chan. familiar suffix used for people you’re close with
